Background[edit]

Dick started his racing career as a Motocross racer for Tibro MK coached by his father Anders Olsson who was a successful motocross racer in the 70s and 80s.

Career[edit]

In the late summer of 2002 Dick switched over to karting after seeing his first karting race earlier that summer. The same year he also finished 4th in the North European Zone (NEZ) Championship in Rudskogen, Norway, racing in the same class. Between the 2006 and 2007 season Dick tested Formula Renault for a Danish team, but decided to continue to compete in karting for financial reasons.

In 2007 Dick raced KF2 in the Danish Karting Championship and in 2008 he switched to racing Rotax Max for Wallberg Motorsport in Sweden.

That year he finished 5th in the Swedish Championship, racing in the same class. After his retirement in 2008, Dick became a software developer.

Dick has contributed to the open source project Drupal. In June 2014, Dick came out of retirement to compete in the Acquia DrupalCon Austin Karting Championship.

In October 2015, Dick set the new lap record of 30.558 seconds at Arnold"s Family Fun Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
