WorkflowOne is a company that allows other companies to outsource all print and promotional needs. It was recently labeled the 13th largest distributor of promotional products by the ASI and Counselor Magazine,[1] which was a jump from 26th in 2007. The company takes a two armed approached offering production capabilities as well as consulting services.

  • 1866 - The Reynolds and Reynolds Company founded in Dayton, Ohio (progenitor of Relizon).
  • 1912 - Newport News Printing Co. founded in Newport News, Virginia (progenitor of Workflow).
  • 1927 - Newport News Printing Co. renamed Standard Sales Book Co.
  • 1961 - Reynolds and Reynolds goes public.
  • 1967 - Standard Sales Book Co. moves to Norfolk, Va.
  • 1977 - Stan-Data Products is formed to begin marketing products other than business forms.
  • 1988 - Reynolds and Reynolds attains the FORTUNE 500.
  • 1990's - Standard Sales Book Co. is renamed Standard Forms, Inc. (later shortened to "SFI") and acquires a number of other firms that produce and market forms, office and computer supplies, and other printed material, giving the company a national presence.
  • 1994-1997 - Reynolds and Reynolds purchases Formcraft Inc. (Houston), Dataforms Inc. (Milwaukee), Jordan Graphics (Charlotte), Duplex Products Inc. (Sycamore, Ill.), Vanier Graphics (Atlanta), and Crain-Drummond (Canada).
  • 2000 - Reynolds and Reynolds sells its Information Solutions Group to The Carlyle Group. Resulting entity becomes an independent, privately held corporation named The Relizon Company.
  • 2003 - SFI name is changed to Workflow.
  • 2004 - Workflow is purchased by Greg Mosher, Perseus LLC and The Renaissance Group, LLC. Company is renamed Workflow Management, Inc., and its operating arm becomes Workflow Solutions.
  • June 2005 - Workflow Solutions is rebranded as WorkflowOne.
  • November 2005 -- The Carlyle Group sells Relizon to Workflow Management Inc., which is a portfolio company of Perseus LLC and The Renaissance Group, LLC. Perseus is a leading merchant bank and private equity fund management company with offices in Washington, D.C., and New York, N.Y. The Renaissance Group was a minority investor along with Perseus in the transaction.
  • 2006 WorkflowOne expands by absorbing the operations of Relizon.[3]
