Article Evaluation

I am evaluating the Women's History Month article on Wikipedia. Women's History Month is an internationally declared month, that is meant to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women in history. Women's History month is celebrated in March in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. This article presents information on the history, themes, and overall impact of women's history. While evaluating this article, I felt that there is much more information that can be added. The History section can be presented in a more clear and concise manner. I believe that the focus on Women's History Week, was a bit overrepresented. While it is important to know the progression of Women's History Week to Women's History Month, the history section still lacked depth. I would like to know who were some of the key leaders in the women's history movement, and a more in-depth interpretation of the themes. The sections that were dedicated to international celebrations of Women's History Month could have been expounded upon. I also believe that Recent Impact section of the article should be expanded. It would be great to know how the celebration of women's history has influenced present feminist activists.

Draft Article[edit]

Contributions[edit]

We decided to split the article into three primary sections: "Early Life," "Career," and "Awards." Neal will be writing "Early Life," Jalen will be writing "Career," and Viana will be writing "Awards." Symone is the coordinator.
