Mr. McG - aka Thomas McGinniss is an American musician, teacher and composer best known for the children's music series Teach Me, Mr. McG. composed in 2004 with Mr. McG playing and singing on all the tracks via fictional band "The Trutones". The series contains 12 monthly CD's each teaching different letters, colors, numbers and shapes. Two unique components of the series are that it teaches good character using songs that sing about honesty and sharing. Each of the over 90 songs in the series is in a different musical style. The idea for the series came from a collaboration with his wife, who owns a daycare. Care was taken during recording to make the melodies and words easily learned.
