Having Strong Political family background, Tahir Syeed is the grandson of Late Moulana Anwar Masoodi ( Younger brother of Moulana Mohammad Syed Masoodi , Founder General Secretary of J&K National Conference ). Late Moulana Anwar Masoodi, grandfather of Tahir Syed was the member of J&K Constituent Assembly & J&K Legislative Council. Tahir Syeed is also nephew of senior politician from Kupwara, peer Abdul Rashid.
