Ugboshi-Ele also known as Ayami is a small town with great cultural values, is situated in the Akoko-Edo Local Government area of Edo State in Nigeria. Edo state has a total number of 18 local government areas including Akoko-Edo. Ugboshi-Ele is surrounded by several neighboring towns/villages including Ugboshi-Afe, Aiyegunle, Uneme Nekua, Okpe, Ekpesa and Ibillo which are all part of the Akoko-Edo local government area with the LGA headquarters in Igarra. Ugboshi-Ele and the surrounding towns/villages are all part of a tribe called Okpameri (meaning "We are one" in the Okpameri Language which they all speak although with very minor differences. Ugboshi-Ele is a peaceful and hospitable community and the population includes people from other ethnic groups in Nigeria. The community is also known for producing great Cocoa farmers like Chief Rufus Agbi, Chief Joseph Adeniyi etc. And not forgetting a great warrior by name Chief Ologun-ofe who was also called Zungeru Dangana, because of his physical invincibility he was murdered in his sleep, but his legacies lives on. The community also boast of a prominent local musician by the name Dr Leo Fadaka Omoluabi who is very popular among the tribes of Okpameri, even beyond the borders of Akoko-Edo.
