NAOMI SUZUKI is one of the most well known Japanese singer, multitalented model, actress, presenter, songwriter and event producer in the UK with her personal yet universal style that will, If there is any justice in the world, allow her to become the first modern day Japanese female artist to seriously penetrate the European charts.
Naomi performs a special blend of UK dance, chill out and J-pop at various big event in the UK. Not only has Naomi hit #12 on the UK dance chart but also reached #14 in the US radio charts with her band AJ Unity and held 1st place across 1693 other radio stations worldwide for three consecutive weeks, as voted for by listeners. And is active in both Europe and the US.
Naomi also has an impressive acting repertoire and has experience with acting in both British drama and European commercials, one of her more notable roles in “ Bridget Jones’s Diary” alongside actor Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. She also found herself the subject of a BBC documentary and has been featured in numerous news and magazine articles.
Naomi is well known for her charity single and ongoing fundraising activities in support of the victims of the Japanese Tohoku Earthquake (Tsunami disaster) as well as children in poverty and Ukrainian refugees.
Naomi also became the first Japanese singer to perform at the Houses of Parliament supported by British-Japanese Parliamentary Group where she gave a rousing performance on 5th March 2015 at the Memorial Concert for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The concert, which marked the 4th anniversary of the disaster, was a great success drawing attention from the Japanese press and media.
Naomi’s charity project achieved cross-generational support and was highly acclaimed, which was possible thanks to the collaboration with talented artists such as Bluey( Incognito), Mari Natsuki, Chikuzen Sato, Shigeru Matsuzaki, Yuki Koyanagi, Hitomi Yaida, Nobu Saito.
Naomi believes in the power of music, and that is why she has been contributing to society for the last 10 years. Her passion for charity work did not stop even once she got very ill health around the time of the 2011.
As a presenter, Naomi is most well known for her radio show "Naomi's London Calling" where she mainly presents about life in London as well as broadcasting support for the Japan tsunami victims. It has been broadcasted for seven FM radio stations in Japan.
Having chaired the largest Japanese festival in the UK, Japan Matsuri, for 10 years, Naomi is also a reputable events host and has worked with Matsutake Kabuki and NHK broadcasting amongst others.
