SBM is completely independent, receiving no industry funding and has no financial conflicts of interest. It's only goal is to promote high standards of science in medicine.[1]

Our goal is to examine these claims in the light of science and skepticism. We believe that the best medicine is based on scientific principles — considering plausibility, for instance, and not just evidence.[1]
