Prior to launching Social Good Marketing & Design, Inc. in 2006, Tea was Director of Marketing for PRIDE Industries —a national nonprofit that works to create jobs for people with disabilities—where she was responsible for the conceptual development and design creation of the organization's collateral and marketing communications.

Before that, she was part of the City of Lodi's executive team where she worked as Director of the Community Center Department. During that time, she ran (and marketed!) the City's Performing Arts and Conference Center, also known as "Hutchins Street Square." She also worked closely with the community's Arts Commission and other local nonprofit boards and organizations.

Tea honed her marketing and communications skills in various fields over the years. She worked as Marketing Communications Manager for Pharmaceutical Care Network (PCN), and as Creative Services Manager for Great Western Bank (both of which have since been purchased by other companies).

In 1990, Tea began her marketing career in publishing, with the launch of her first successful endeavor, "The Mailer-Saver," a monthly news and advertising publication for those living in the far reaches of Lancaster/Palmdale.

Tea is the winning designer of the 2007 California Strawberry Festival Poster and the founder of Ventura County Marketing Professionals. She is also a member in good standing of the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of American the Better Business Bureau of the Tri-Counties, and the Rotary Club of Ventura.

She teaches marketing and public relations through the Ventura College community education program, and is a regular guest “expert” at the WEV (Women’s Economic Ventures) Self-Employment Training classes.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in English and Fine Arts (with honors) from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her Certificate of Specialized Studies in Marketing from the University of California at Davis. In 2001, she was professionally accredited as a Certified Professional Marketer, by the American Marketing Association.
