Zera Myth's Awaken is a upcoming plat former collectathon indie game by Cyreides, the game is heavily inspired by the Spyro the dragon trilogy on the original PlayStation.
Originally the project started out as a Spyro fan game that was a unofficial fourth game taking place after Spyro Year of the Dragon.
On September,21, 2018, Activision Blizzard the company that currently holds the rights to the Spyro IP gave Cyreides ( Sebastian Chapman) a C&D letter informing him he could not use the Spyro the dragon character or anything relating to the series. Because of this, Cyreides had to remove all his previous Spyro Myth's Awaken demo's off of Gamejolt. The announcement was upsetting to Cyreides, his dev team, and many Spyro fans, the project however was not forgotten.
Cyreides announced that Spyro Myth's Awaken was dead, though the assets he created examples being the games name, characters, levels, music, would still be used On October 8, 2018, Cyreides announced Zera Myth's Awaken on his official Youtube channel, which has 15,100 views as of January 1, 2019. The main protagonist Zera was originally a Axolotl, Sugar glider hybrid creature than changed it to an Axolotl bat like creature instead.
The first demo was released on the site Gamejolt,December 8.
