Katie Rose Lucas (born April 13, 1988) is an American television writer. She was adopted by filmmaker George Lucas as his second child. After working on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2008 animated television series as a freelance writer, she became a member of the full-time writing staff, ultimately writing fifteen episodes over its run. She also appeared in each of the Star Wars prequel trilogy films playing minor roles.
Biography
[edit]Katie Lucas was born April 13, 1988 in the United States and was adopted by George Lucas in year. She is his second adopted daughter, after Amanda Lucas, and the first child he adopted as a single parent. She is the goddaughter of Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola.
Lucas worked as a freelance writer on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2008 animated television series for two and a half years before she was asked to join the full-time writing staff. The season one episode "Jedi Crash" was the first professional script she wrote and became her first screenwriting credit.[1] She ultimately wrote fifteen episodes for the series before its cancellation, thirteen as sole credited writer and two co-written with Steve Melching. She also co-wrote an eight episode story arc centering on Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos for the unproduced seventh season of the series; these episodes were adapted into a novel by Christie Golden titled Dark Disciple, for which Lucas wrote a foreword.
