Ochieng Oloo, Founder and Chief Executuve Officers of Think Business Limited is a well-known financial analyst/journalist in Kenya who has written hundred of articles for the local and international media over the last 15 years.

He was the founder, Chief Executive & Editor-in-Chief of Economic Intelligence limited, the company that published the monthly Market Intelligence Magazine. He produced more than 80 editions of this magazine over a period of 9 years as the publisher and editor-in-chief.

In 1999, he was one of the 15 Kenyans who won a USAID/Public Law Institute scholarship to the Les Aspin Centre for Government in Washington DC in recognition of his leadership potential. He was named Barclays Bank’s Business Journalist of the Year 2001.

He started his journalistic career at the Kenya Times in 1992 as a Business Writer and later in acting capacity as Business Editor. In 1994, he moved to the Weekly Express as Business Editor, rising to the position of Deputy Managing Editor. He left the same year to help set up the East African Chronicle [later the Business Chronicle], a regional business monthly journal, where he was deputy Editor in charge of business. He wrote a column entitled Money matters in which he commented on news making business and financial events of the week.

In 1995, Mr. Oloo was also the consulting Editor of The Accountant, the journal of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya [ICPAK]. He also started the business and financial pages of Msafiri, the Kenya Airways in-flight magazine.

He quit employment at the end of 1995 and founded Media Monarchs, a publishing and Public relations firm. The company specialized in business features and supplement productions. He has also been a freelancer, contributing occasionally to The Standard and Business Daily.
