Welcome to my user page! I'm Sophocrat.

I have read Wikipedia for many years and know its inner workings very well, if I say so myself, but I only created an account in 2023. I'm now a full Wikipedian. I plan to make an account at the SCP Wiki to publish my writings, and perhaps a YouTube channel to publish some simple soundtracks I have created.

My interests include literature, writing, history, global politics, science, technology, certain video games, and philosophy.

Etymology

The word sophocrat (sopho-, from Ancient Greek σοφός (sophós, “wise”), and -crat, from Ancient Greek κράτος (krátos, “power, might”)) has no established meaning; there's barely any literature or Internet content that mentions it. The related word sophocracy does have a meaning: "political rule by philosophers", but it's also barely used.

Thus, I decided to take the name Sophocrat and give the word my own meaning. A sophocrat is a person who utilizes knowledge and rationality to make decisions towards the fulfillment of their goals. I intend to fulfill this definition.

I'm currently working on an analysis of City of Golden Shadow, volume one of the Otherland book series.
