TheBenignBovine has been a long time user of Wikipedia and made his first edit anonymously on an article about the CSS Alabama when he noticed a typo. As of this edit, he is currently a nineteen year old college student at Oregon State University and is majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is of Chinese decent, and can speak a very sparse amount of Cantonese - but he cannot read or write it at all. He is currently studying Japanese. TheBenignBovine loves music. He enjoys playing the piano and singing. He mainly listens to alternative rock, Japanese pop, and Japanese rock, though admits there are good songs in other genres. Some of his favorite bands/artists are the pillows, BUMP OF CHICKEN, YUI, Maaya Sakamoto, Michelle Branch, The Beatles, and Matchbox Twenty. Stemming from his years of piano lessons, he also enjoys Classical, Baroque, and Romantic era pieces - romantic especially. While classical music were elegant and had a grand sound, romantic era music was more expressive and was filled with emotion. The music from the romantic era seems more beautiful.
In his spare time, TheBenignBovine plays video games and Magic: The Gathering with his friends. He enjoys most genres of video games, but plays mainly first person shooters and turn based strategy games. He has been known to play MMORPGs, but avoids playing them because of time constrictions. TheBenignBovine became interested in Magic: The Gathering during the Kamigawa Block and has been playing since.
