Encyclopedia on Photography!

A living set of books on Photography!!

I want to write these books but I have not been able to devote much time to it for various reasons. However, there is still hope.

Disclaimer: I might not agree with everything contained in that book.

Purpose

This book (or set of books) should exist if not for original contribution then just for collecting information on Photography, scattered on the Web, into a coherent volume. This book should exist to tie together the theory and practice of Photography, its various methods and processes, its terminology, its new methods and development, and to present sometimes multiple conflicting views with or without taking sides.

This book aims to be a dynamic book, the first source of reference for the newest growth in the field of photography. For this to happen, this book WANTS to be authored by various experts in respective areas.

There are texts available that explain various photography topics in great details. This book does not want to pretend to come in the same league. Wherever detailed coverage of topic is available the book will provide a concise treatment of the topic followed by reference to those sources for the interested readers. This book aims to borrow a lot from various sources after getting permissions from various authors and other sources.

Audience

All photographer and people who have anything to do with photography and probably other people who want to get introduced to the subject. This Book intends to target following types of photography reading audience:

Beginners: Those who want to embark on a journey of photography or those who have been into it but have not had much formal exposure to theory.

Experienced: Those who want to keep their knowledge updated. This section will deal with latest theory and practices of photography. Of course this section will be most volatile and (hopefully) will have contributions from various reputed authors.
