Ignacio "Nacho" Gil de Pareja Vincent (born 9 September 1995) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Valencia Mestalla.

Career

Born in Valencia, Gil began his career in the youth ranks of his hometown club Valencia CF. In October 2012, he signed a contract until 30 June 2015.[1]

On 5 January 2014, he made his senior debut for the reserves, playing 67 minutes of a 1–0 Segunda División B loss at CE L'Hospitalet before being replaced by Juan Delgado; it was his only appearance of the campaign.[2]

Gil scored his first senior goal on 7 December 2014, netting the game's only at Reus Deportiu.[3] A week later, he equalised in a 2–1 win over Cornellà at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.[4] On 1 March 2015, Gil was sent off in a loss by the same score at L'Hospitalet.[5] He ended the season with five goals from 32 games, ending on 17 May with a strike in Mestalla's 8–2 away trouncing of Real Zaragoza B which preserved the team's place in the third tier.[6]

On 5 December 2015, Gil was included in the first team's squad for the first time, remaining an unused substitute in a 1–1 home draw against reigning champions FC Barcelona.[7]

Personal life

Gil's older brother, Carles, also came through at Valencia and became a professional defender, representing Aston Villa in England.[1]
