Jarrett McCarthy Stetten, also known by his stage names Duke City Drunk, Duke City Don, and The Don, is an American hip hop recording artist, performer, and entrepreneur. Stetten was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in both Albuquerque and Long Beach, California. Since the age of 10, Stetten has ranged from playing in Bands to Rap Groups/Crews but soon realized that it didn't matter what type of music, genres you might say, it was the flow of the words that Stetten was addicted to.

"It was the only true way to express and let go of frustration, pain, anger from death, sickness, and the problems everyone of us go through in life.” Stetten remembers laying in his childhood bed, unable to sleep, while manifesting some of the ugliest anxiety while reflecting on society and life. From a very early age, Stetten searched for his voice and discovered that it was more than just music, it was his therapy. "This is the only escape and without the pain, there would be no music.”

In May 2000, Stetten moved away to Long Beach, California and started gravitating towards Rap/Hip Hop. He quickly found his voice and perfected his flow. His rhymes are a hard hitting mirror of reality, stemming from childhood problems and issues to (then) modern day self-quarrels. With that, Duke City Drunk was born. From day one, Stetten represented Albuquerque, also known as Duke City, and verbally attacked the local California music scene with the first single “Back to the Docks.” Stetten recalls peers telling him he must be possessed or demonic, as he would turn into a completely different person during this rage of lyrics. “I didn’t really think much of it, we just drank more and went on with the night."

In December 2008, Stetten made the decision to move back to Albuquerque. This idea came after his father's death in 2005 and learning his mother was ill with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease. "Duke City Don” aka "DCD" was officially born at this time, representing a new beginning. DCD quickly invaded the Albuquerque local scene and quickly became both loved and hated. He released “Don of the Dead” and collaborated with many local artists such as Dex, Kidd, Nine, etc. "The Intro" shot and edited by Tommy Lowks of StayHeated.com quickly emerged and received a huge response from global music companies, such as MTV.com. He linked up with Glam Magazine and began traveling all over the USA opening for major acts such as: Kurupt, SugaFree, DJ Quik, NuFlavor, 2nd II None, Mack 10, Warren G, Glasses Malone, Bizzy Bone, Oso Vicious, and many more.

2014 - Stetten had secretly been working on two huge projects that he knew would be what he needed to advance his music career into the next level. He recently announced the release of “Angel of Darkness” under the new moniker “The Don.” The name and cover alone predict a new side of Stetten. With song titles such as “DCD’s Execution" and “A New Anti-Christ,” Angel of Darkness is predicted to be a darker, almost demonic tale of Stetten’s past and the CD has an upcoming release date of January 2014. What, or who did this person become? 2014 dawns a new Don ready to possess and conquer the global music scene.
