Stated in Strunk and White’s classic writing guide, The Elements of Style: "A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts."

When I was a newbie someone called me a peasant because I asked someone to make their signature less than 4 lines. The asshole* with the long signature line has since left, after a problem with another user over - guess what - another signature line. Not only did they leave, but they demanded to disappear and remove their fancy username from all their edits. Jesus Christ, causing everyone a lot of work and headache, not to mention, how rude they were daily, while they were allowed to edit Wikipedia. I had never seen anything quite like it. The other asshole, who defended them .. I don't know what happened to him and I don't care. Anyway, I don't know why he would think that "peasant" is an insult. I embraced it 'cause that's what Puerto Ricans are - gíbaros and proud of it.

Welcome[edit]

Map of Porto Rico

Welcome to my page. I am la jibara elocuente, the eloquent peasant, although sometimes I ain't so eloquent. Sometimes I even talk like a truck driver. So when I told my son I wanted to be a teacher, he worriedly said "mom, you can't curse at the kids." No, son, I would never do that. Anyways, I'm not considered "Other". I'm Puerto Rican. Also, sometimes I'll sit and write a little prose to help improve a stub article. Anyways, I'm here to "build an encyclopedia". If you read all this, you'll want to jump to your end. So instead why don't you just jump to the end.

Egypt Articles[edit]

Wikipedia Africa Destubathon

PROSE - What we need is to destub and add more PROSE

Is when I began editing a lot more carefully. I came in 5th place for most core articles destubbed, which was really difficult because I was working with an old Toshiba laptop.
I learned from the great and beautiful person, Dr. Blofeld.

Some Tools[edit]

Natively Examples[edit]

  • "Inuinnaqtun (Inuit pronunciation: [inuinːɑqtun]; natively meaning like the real human beings/peoples), is an indigenous..."
  • In Hawaiian, kaʻaʻawa means "the wrasse (fish)
  • Talk:Filiberto Ojeda Ríos
  • I made 25 phone calls to Vietnam in the middle of the night. I really much prefer to sleep in the middle of the night but the phone calls had to be scheduled and made at their convenience. Ugh. Just remembering those days makes me shudder. Then I retired.
  • Category:Folklorists
Photo I took at home in Hawaii with gecko looking down from door jam
Photo I took at Cathedral of Toledo with statues of saints looking down from ceiling
  • I have reported errors to GNIS, i.e. "river's name is misspelled in the entry in the GNIS database..." and they have responded.
We're going for 6 BILLION!
For the billionth time!

At a personal cost to me[edit]

  • I bought a self-ink stamper that says "Uploaded to Wikipedia". But then it smudged so I had to buy tape-so the expenses are never-ending.
  • On July 20th, 2019 I damaged my beige leather couch with purple Sharpie ink marks, so now I probably have to have the two leather couches painted purple - more expenses.
  • Oh. And my marriage.
  • I report errors and missing information to wordreference.com as well i.e. "el cuatro". Doing all these things takes time. But my home is always clean, dishes are washed, clothes is clean and folded, beds are made, etc.

This is not a manifesto but it's also not brief[edit]
