PRV-13 (according to NATO classification - Odd Pair ) - Soviet radio altimeter . It is in service with the former Warsaw Pact countries .

History

This sample was developed on the basis of the PRV-11 radio altimeter , in the early 1960s at NII-244. Serial production was organized at plant number 588, now the Pravdinsky Radio Plant in the city of Balakhna.

At present, the radio altimeter is still in service.

The mobile radio altimeter PRV-13 is designed to work as a means of measuring height as part of the 5N87 radar complex , rangefinders P-37 , P-35M , 5N84A and others, as well as automated control systems 5N55M , 5N53-N , 5N53-U , 86Zh6 , 5N60 . It also interfaces with the objects of the automated control system "Vozdukh-1M", "Vozdukh-1P", with the automated control system for air defense systems ASURK-1MA, ASURK-1P and the cockpit K9 SAM S-200 .

Composition

The altimeter is made in a movable version. The altimeter includes:

  • trailer B1 on a trolley KLU with a rotating cab, which houses the receiving and transmitting equipment and antenna devices;
  • trailer B2 type 761 with indicator equipment, synchronization and noise protection equipment, as well as an AD-30T diesel-electric power unit;

trailer B3 type 761 with spare equipment and instrumentation; it also houses an AD-30T power unit and a VPL-30MD frequency converter;

  • trailer B3 type 761 with spare equipment and instrumentation; it also houses an AD-30T power unit and a VPL-30MD frequency converter;
  • containers with antenna devices, cable management and other auxiliary equipment - 22 pcs.

In addition, the altimeter includes a ground-based radar interrogator NRZ-4P (1L22), made in an automotive version.
