Ethiopian Aviation Academy(EAA) is one of the strategic business units of the Ethiopian Aviation group. The academy is collocated with Ethiopian Airlines at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The academy provides basic and recurrent training in the areas of Pilot, aircraft maintenance engineering, cabin crew, commercial operation and leadership and carrier development training. Though the academy mainly trains professionals for Ethiopian airlines, it also provides training services to external customers.[1] The Academy constitutes six schools namely the pilot training school, the aircraft maintenance engineering school, the cabin crew and catering school, the commercial operations training school and the leadership and carrier development schools. The academy also runs a separate course and curriculum development department.[2] The training programs in Ethiopian Aviation Academy are approved by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority(ECAA). Some aircraft aircraft maintenance engineering type courses are also approved by the European Safety agency (EASA). Ethiopian Aviation Academy is also a full member of the International Civil Aviation Organization's(ICAO) TRAINAIR PLUS program.[3]
