Experience

[edit]

I have a somewhat varied work experience history.

My mom owns a promotions company, and while growing up I would often work for her over the weekends, and some holidays, as such I gained experience in organizing and hosting events.

I had a dream to start my own events company after high school, and being the ambitious person I am. I did just that. A friend and I immediately registered a company name and started planning events. In the end it turned out that we planned many events but did not actually succeed at getting funding for them, and after a short while we both realized that this was not what we really wanted to do.

Round about this time another friends father who owns a lighting company needed someone to help sort out his admin over the university holiday period, so I started helping him out. This eventually turned into a semi-permanent student job where I was handling daily admin, orders and doing some sales work as well.

When I left UNISA to study full time at TUKS I had to leave the lighting company. After I completed my three year degree I then started working at a company as a Junior front end developer.
