Your role

  • What exactly do you do (most specific user group)?
Various things. Mostly copy-editing, and responding to requests at the Help Desk and the Teahouse.
  • How long have you been an editor/admin/user of Wikipedia?
Registered editor: 14 years. Admin: I'm not. User: maybe 16 years.
  • How active are you in that capacity?
I've made 26,000 edits.
  • Do you consider this your primary occupation or only a hobby?
Neither.

Your thoughts

  • What do you think of Wikipedia as a project?
It's a great idea, and seems to be working well.
  • What do you see in the future for the site?
I can't predict how it'll develop.
  • How might the subjects covered by Wikipedia be expanded?
By adding missing content to articles; by updating articles with new content; by cleaning up the structure of articles; many other ways.

Your experience

  • What have you seen, do you have any stories?
Nothing worth mentioning.
  • How big a problem is vandalism?
It's a significant problem, but it's adequately dealt with.
  • How easily is vandalism dealt with?
I don't get much involved in cleaning up vandalism, though I revert it when I happen to come across it. Some users specialise in dealing with vandalism, you should ask one of them.
