Within ruin started as a group of young boys who decided they had some epic talent they wanted to share with the world. As fifteen/sixteen year olds they played many gig's supporting big australian hardcore pioners such as Michael Krafter (confession) former lead vocalsit of "i Killed The Prom Queen". As they began to get a fanbase within there local community and close friends they decided it would be a good idea to record there first demo/EP (fight everyone). They recorded in a local studio in dawesville called "studio sleepwalkers dread" with the world famous aaron pollard from the jazz metal band "tangled thoughts of leaving". Very quickly they started to get a reputation witihin the community and started headlining gig's around there hometown of mandurah.
Since these early days they have began touring the world with there music, seeing such countries as europe, japan, california and many more. Touring with famous aussie bands such as "parkway drive", "carpathian" and many more.

The band are still very good friends and have amazing support from the closest friends such as Jackson Fry, Brent Dunn, Jake Byrne, Rhys Burton, Shamus (last name lol), Sam Jackson, matthew red-hair, Chris Sexton, Kimberley Louise Hart, Chris Purnell/chaos, and all of the people that have come and suppoted them live.
