I am a student pursuing my Master's Degree now in MSIS program in University of Pittsburgh. This semester I enrolled in the social computing class.
I was in Business School in my under graduation study. After the 4 years' experience, I am now extremely interested in different business modes. I'm curious about what factors make those big companies successful and what make those original big company fail finally. Social computing is a large topic. It requires the interactions between people, so the softwares that makes such connections appear to be more and more important. Facebook, twitter, or many other social involved games seem to be relatively interesting to me. In this course, I would like to focus on the good characteristics, modes or patterns behind these successful social softwares.
