Thomas Hoffmann, formerly known as Thomas Fechtner, legally changed his name on June 26, 2012.
He changed his name to maintain the legacy of his mom, Irene Lorenc, originally born Irene Hoffmann. Irene was born in the Czech Republic in 1946. She had 3 children and she was a Language interpreter. She was forced to escape Czechoslovakia in 1978.
It was always a wish from Irene that one of her children change her name and though it did not happen during her life, Thomas Fechtner proudly announced on June 27, 2012, that as of that day he has legally changed his name to Thomas Hoffmann. He was married on August 18, 2012, to Grace Hoffman (formerly Grace Woo) in Wading River, NY.
