Ray Khan

Ray Khan is a renowned Author, Fitness Expert, Martial Artist and former public school teacher. Since establishing his own method of fitness and exercise, Ray has been recognized numerous times in the Men’s Journal as One of America’s Top 100 Trainers. His Exercise Program is accredited by the American Council on Exercise.

Early Life

Ray Khan was born in 1966 in Georgetown, Guyana; a previous British Colony of Latin America. While growing up, Ray was an active competitor in soccer, field hockey, and karate while also participating in Boy Scouts. Even while becoming diagnosed with asthma at a young age, this did not stop him from partaking in a diverse array of athletic activities throughout his youth. After his family moved to Miami, Ray served in the Marine Corps for a period time until he suffered a stroke, ultimately leading to his decision to attend Nova Southeastern University located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While pursuing a degree in Education, Ray also took time to train in Jeet Kune Do in order to refresh his former athletic abilities. Outside of his fitness and personal training accomplishments, Ray went on to become a Special Education Teacher within Miami Dade County Public Schools between 1990 and 1999 as well as Denver Public Schools between 1999 and 2001.

Currently, Ray is a part time professional fitness trainer and martial arts instructor, now spending more time as a writer working on new books to add to his already notable publications on fitness, health and martial arts. Ray Khan’s first fitness book, The Kick-Fit Workout, classifies the limits for multidimensional and functional exercises,the book was released by Amazon on February 1st 2006. Ray later included a variety of publications released by Amazon Kindle including adventure books for children. Ray’s unique one-on-one personal training style incorporates boxing, fencing and mixed martial arts into a challenging cross training circuit. He is also an apprentice martial arts Instructor under Dan Inosanto, currently teaching at Aikido of Denver Doushin-Joku.

Ray has developed fitness programs for several notable Fortune 500 Companies; his many tasks included the development and execution of the Corporate Fitness Program for Liberty Media and Liberty Global, the World’s Largest International Cable Television Company.

Challenges

Ray Khan has suffered several major injuries mainly consisting of an ACL replacement, meniscus repairs, AC Joint separation and a bilateral rotator cuff tear. In 2010 Ray was diagnosed with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy and after a Traumatic Brain Injury in 2011 during a training session he decided to focus harder on writing.
