Bethany Ruth Baker Bartholomew (19 January 1986 – present) is an American painter known for her watercolor works in fantasy and fairy tale using multi racial models. She is biracial, with a Caucasian father and African American mother.
Born in Ohio, her parents who were farmers raised her with conservative and Christian values, and a good work ethic. She is known for her love of early 20th century style and was heavily influenced by Beatrix Potter and John William Waterhouse. She attended school at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where she majored in Painting. She later moved to Salt Lake City where she currently resides.
She currently works by painting commissioned murals and portraits, while also working on a children’s picture book.
