Salome Nyirarukundo is a young woman lady who was born in December 20, 1997 in Kivumu Sector, Rutsiro District, Ouest, Rwanda. She is a Rwandan long distance runner and she competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the women's. APR’s Salome Nyirarukundo started 2018 on a high after winning the Kigali Half Marathon. The half marathon is the opening race of the local athletics season.

Her career is all about being an athlete woman because she is passionate about it and she is really working so hard to get into that field and make sure that she is the first all over the word.

Awards

After winning a gold coach in the semi-Maroc International Semi-Marathon International, Berkane-SMIB has joined all the girls in Africa in April this year, and returned to Kigali International Peace Marathon on May 21, 2017. In addition to that, Salome at the Kigali Peace Marathon won the Gold Medal in the Half Marathon.
