My interest is nineteenth century England science and one of my favorites is Edward Forbes, (pronounced "Four Bees") F.R.S. still widely known in his own right but seems to have been eclipsed by the equally fine work of Charles Darwin. Forbes was a correspondent of Darwin and a celebrated paleontologist of his day.
