UninventiveWithUsernames, that's me. I'm not very creative when it comes to usernames, so...
I live in the sovereign state of the United Kingdom. That description should tell you that I'm a geography geek. I also love history and classical music (I've been playing the piano since the age of 3), and am interested in languages. I read and write French fairly competently (B2ish level) and am learning Polish (pretty beginner still - I understand cases [though I still make plenty of mistakes], but I fall to pieces on verbs, especially perfective aspect, and generally make a fool of myself whenever I try to use it), besides knowing random pieces of other languages. I've also developed a love for English grammar - a bit odd considering how I hated it as a school subject - and a terrible tendency to correct any bad grammar I see or hear. But my main interest is all things Polish. Anything to do with Poland, I'm interested in. I hope to move there in a few years.
So, naturally, I'm mostly looking to help in the Polish portal. I'm also up for anything related to classical music and happy to help with translating French to English, though if I try translating English to French I always do some bad things to the grammar. Translating from Polish is still mostly beyond me, and reverse translation more than just mostly. But I'm definitely willing to assist with polishing up the English in translations (no pun intended) if desired.
And of course, I want to learn here. Especially about Poland, but also about how Wikipedia works and the community here. I'm sure I'll make mistakes, but I promise to try to learn from them and not repeat them. :) UninventiveWithUsernames (talk) 14:45, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
