Background:

In his mortal years, Valek draven was a priest to the Roman Catholic Church of Bohemia who spoke out to the people that they did not need God to make decisions for them. He even conquered a few small towns during his small preaching crusades.

Needless to say, his peers were not terribly impressed due to his acts and believed that Valek was possessed by demonic forces so the officials decided that an exorcisim would solve such a major disruption.

Jan Valek was taken to a small down outside France known as Berzier where the heads of the Church carried out a forbidden ritual that was time-consuming and exceedingly brutal. However, halfway through the ritual something went horribly amiss.

Valek was transformed into a creature that walked in the dead of night feasting on the blood of the living.

The body was finally killed and was dumped in to a graveyard. However, a few days later, people reported that they saw a "pale, ebony haired giant" roaming the countryside and feeding from the veins of humans.

Ultimately enough, when Jan Valek's grave was dug up for investigation, the body was gone, confirming that Valek was no longer a living being, but an creature whose body was dead, but whose malevolent soul was alive.

From there on, Valek began to commence a search for the elusive Berzier Cross, a powerful instrument that would provide Valek and his fellow vampire "children" the omnipotent ability to walk in the light of day.

He finally met his end when he was exploded in the sunlight during a battle with Jack Crow.

Personality: As the Master Vampire, Valek has a lot of bad attitude, a very sadistic nature and a merciless taste for blood and vengence. Anyone who stands in his way are either killed or used to achieve many of his dark purposes. Unlike other vampires, there is nothing seductive about him, personality-wise. The only thing he lives for is to walk in the day light and to become invincible.
