Dr.Sreekumar. V.B, an enthusiastic researcher and teacher native to Palakkad, Kerala, India. After completing post graduation in Botany from St.Thomas College, Thrissur, I joined as a research Scholar in Kerala Forest Research Institute and started my research career on rattans and other palms of Southern India, North eastern States and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. I have also carried out the genetic diversity and Molecular phylogenetic studies on the family palmae and other plant groups using molecular markers and DNA sequences.
