Greetings fellow Wikipedians. My name vern 58 is an amalgam of my shortened fist name (Dorky and old fashioned but hey,I did not give it to myself) and the year of my birth. I grew up in Kansas (does anyone really grow up in Kansas is one taxing question) and left as soon as i graduated from the University of Kansas in 1980 with a dual degree in Philosophy and Nursing. I have been an enthusiastic collector of arcane but true information since I was a wee lad, but it never impressed my Elders much. However my Professors were quite amused.
