The Queue de Charrue is a family/ group (famille?) of beers brewered for the Vanuxeem Brewery. The best known and most typical is the Queue de Charrue brune. Its name comes from the direct translation of the Flemish village where the beer was first created: Ploegsteert (literally translated by Plow's Handle).

Today (2011), Vanuxeem still doesn't have brewery infrastructures so the beers are brewed by several Belgian breweries (see below).

La brune est une bière de type vieille brune flamande, à fermentation mixte. Elle est produite depuis 1986 selon une recette datant du début du xx de la même brasserie. The Queue de Charrue brune is old-style brown Flemish beer with a mixed fermentation. It is manufactured since 1986 with a recipe from the beginning of the xx by the same brewery.

Like every old-style brown Flemish beer, it has a sweet and sour taste. Since it is lightly sweetened, you can taste the subtlety of the beer‘s maturation in oaks casks.

This beer is brewed by the Verhaeghe.
