Flinterenden[Note 1] which the Swedish fleet nevertheless had problems navigating to join their British and Dutch allies in the bombardment of Copenhagen and troop landings at Humlebæk in August of that year.

  1. ^ Flinterenden - the strategic 15 Km passage at the southern end of Øresund, between Saltholm and Skåne, before the Baltic Sea. So called because the bottom is comprised of flint and chalk. Depth of some seven meters.
  2. ^ As the waterway is now firmly under Swedish jurisdiction in the 21st century, the Swedish version of the name is preferred for this article
