Sandham[1] is an International Music Album on Sangam era Tamil poetry,[2] composed and produced by composer Rajan Somasundaram[3] featuring leading singers and musicians from India and the USA. Academy nominated singer Bombay Jayashri and prominent singers from India, Karthik and Saindhavi , Pragathi, Priyanka, Rajalakshmi Sanjay along with other International Singers have given their voices to the poems. Durham Symphony[4] led by Maestro William Henry Curry has provided Symphony Orchestra for most of the songs. Many International musicians[5] were involved in this project including Rajesh Vaidya, Meir Shitrit among others. While the lead melody is South Indian Classical music, the orchestration is contemporary and western.
