'ANAMET SA' is the leading metal recycling company in Greece, processing and trading ferrous and non ferrous scrap metals, since 1966. In 1966 VIOSKRAP Ltd. started buying old iron and other metals in Aspropyrgos in order to make them available as raw materials to processing plants in the metals group of companies Viohalco . The activity of the company , along with the development of Greek industry , marked the creation of a new economic activity , pushing to modernize the sector of secondary raw materials and related services that processing and transportation of materials . In 1973 the mission was undertaken by DIAPEM LTD .
In 1992 DIAPEM transformed into a Limited Company and changed its name to Metal Recycling Ltd, taking the name 'ANAMET SA' . Simultaneously conveyed the main processing and storage facilities in the central part of the industrial area Aspropyrgos Avenue NATO.
ANAMET's activities also focus on the recovery and trading of other metal, as well as, non metal scrap originating from Electrical and Electronic Equipments Waste, End-of-Life Vehicles, and a variety of other waste streams.It also offers a wide range of integrated waste management services.
'ANAMET SA' is in the process of creating new environmental and social programs that will reform and support the common good.
One of her leading programms is Metal Alert. The main purpose of the "Metal Alert" which is an electronic information exchange system, is to demonstrate practically that the parties involved in metal trade will not tolerate any public property theft and subsequent destruction of public infrastructure for commercial gain.

The main development axis for 'ANAMET SA' is the collaboration with Alternative Management Systems to ensure full compliance with the legislation on waste management , while contributing to the achievement of national targets for recycling - waste utilization . The company cooperates with: The Collective Alternative Management System Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment,"RECYCLING SA",The Greek Recovery Recycling Corporation,The Collective Alternative Management System Vehicle Greece "EDOE" and more. 'ANAMET SA' has also signed contracts with other alternative management systems operating in the country , mainly for the management of their waste generated by its activities.
