History

Heaton Chapel Football Club were founded as Stockport District Athletic and Football club in 1952 by Maurice Longdan, the club competed in the Lancashire combination league alongside clubs such as Altrincham, Droylesden and Manchester City Reserves and the club stayed in the league until 1962 when they were accepted into the Cheshire Towns League Division 2.

Stockport District then moved into the 400 seater Grove Street Stadium at Reddish Park in 1965, on the border of Heaton Chapel and Reddish, due to this move the club officially became known as Heaton Chapel District FC and still stand proud for the 4 Heatons.

In 1972 The club won the Cheshire Towns League Division 2 and were accepted into Division 1. The club went into administration in 1975 however and went out of buisness shortly after in 1976, though just one year later, local buisnessman Niall Stephenson, brought the club back as Heaton Chapel Football Club and became founding members of the North West Counties league - Cheshire district, despite only having a playing squad of 14 the club finished as runners up in the league only losing out to local rivals Reddish North End on goal difference.

In 1992 the club had there most succesful ever season, winning the Northern Premier League by 10 points, winning the first ever Presidents Cup with a 1-0 win over Nantwich Town at Crewe Alexandra's, Gresty Road stadium.

The club stayed in the Northern Alliance league until 1999 when the club joined the newly formed Stockport Metro League Division 4.

In 2002 the club won the Stockport Metro League Division 4 play-off with a penalty shoot-out victory over Poynton Football Club after a 0-0 draw at Cheadle Town's, Park Lane stadium

2005 saw the club finally win the Manchester Amateur cup, with a 7-0 win over Bury Athletic at Manchester City's Sportcity athletics stadium.

In 2007 Heaton Chapel won the Stockport Metro League Division 3 and then in 2008 won Division 2
