This page was created by a senior at Williams as part of an assignment for the class BIOL 15: Epidemiology and Public Health. It will be used to edit Wikipedia for the purposes of this class.
I might seem an odd fit for a Biology class at first glance-it has been a very long time since I ever considered taking a science course, and my studies in Political Science have occupied the past three years of my college experience. I feel, however, that the intersection of government and public health is an important one that merits study from people trained in all disciplines...so, I signed up for Epidemiology class to learn more about the methods used to study health trends. While I will likely never end up as a health professional or involved in public health policy, I still feel this is useful knowledge for anyone to hold, and hope that it can inform my study of Political Science even more as I finish my major.
