[edit]W.D Schock Corporation is a California-based sailboat manufacturer. It was founded by W.D. "Bill" Schock who began by building and repairing boats in the garage of his home in Newport Beach. He made the first production fiberglass boat, which was the Lehman 10. Since then, they have made boats ranging from 8FT- 55FT.
When W.D. retired, his son Tom took over the company. Together with his brother, naval architect Steve Schock, they designed the Harbor series[1]. Then in 2011, the company was bought by Alexander "Sasha" Vucelic, the current President of W.D. Schock Corp. Tom Schock remains on the WDS Board of Directors and acts as Brand Ambassador[2].
W.D. Schock is best known for the Harbor series, Santana series, and Lido 14. Schock boats sail in the USA, Australia, Japan, Bermuda, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, and continues to expand.
