Caterina's Peer Review

[edit]
  • Content: Overall, I think since you have access to her research papers, I would try to expand more on these specific contributions to the biochemistry community. Maybe add a biography box to summarize her DOB, origin, and her curriculum vitae because some of that information is missing. Additionally, I would just make sure that your grammar, punctuation, and verb tense are correct (I fixed a few minor things already).
  • Accuracy: There does not seem to be any issues with the informational accuracy.
  • Organization: Maybe instead of listing out the honors, you could make a chart so that it looks neater and a bit more compact. Additionally, I would just make the awards and honors a separate section instead of just a subsection. Expand on this sentence: "For instance, her team worked on proteins in and around cancer cells in human liver to achieve better understanding of liver cancer." Maybe try to make it a separate paragraph and talk about the significance of her specific work. For your published work section, I would present a small summary for each paper that you provided so that the reader knows a little bit more about the specific findings in her research.
  • Clarity: In the introduction, maybe just link biochemist, instead of Chinese biochemist. Improve the grammar/tense of this sentence "After she got her doctoral degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2000 at the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, she has been working at the same institute to this day." In the awards and honors section what do you mean by 2005.1 and 2005.9? In the area of focus make sure that you link proteomics to its respective Wikipedia page.

Zaren's Peer Review

  • As previously mentioned a Biography box or a Info box would be a nice addition preferably with a picture however I know that might be difficult to add with all the restrictions.
  • The information listed seems to be correct so accuracy shouldn't be a big concern.
  • In the Area of focus location I might link the words protein and proteomics to their Wikipedia pages. Also maybe add a bit about why they are important to her research in general
  • I would not link the Chinese part of Chinese Biochemist because that does't really have much to do with the topic
  • I agree that Awards and Honors should be its own section
  • Pictures in general would also be good whether it was of proteins or related topics

Potential topics:

[edit]

N-terminus: simple and generic topic, other than correcting the peptide not much else to add

Transmembrane domain: pretty general topic so not much else to add

The Role of Serotonin in Visual Orientation Processing: The page is oddly focused on MDMA, would be useful to update but I"m not sure how much info is out there.

Zeng Rong: plenty of room for expansion of her scientitic contribution.

. The last one is a page for a Chinese women scientist. I wasn't sure if there would be enough information out there, but I would like to keep it as an option anyways. All other three are scientific topics that seem to have some potentiality for improvement and interest me in some way.
