Dhabad is a historic and old town in the northern part of galgaduud region of Somalia. It lies 35 kilometres east of Caabudwaaq. It lies in the coordinates (6.4339189, 46.4625110). It is the administrative centre of many villages like Balicad, balihawd,haanbayle and many others. It is inhabited by the wagardhac clan of marehan sub-tribe which is a part of larger Daarood tribe.
