Home of the Create@Salford festival, Imaginative, interactive, inspiring and innovative… Create Salford 2014 is a free arts and media festival showcasing the best creative work from the University of Salford’s School of Arts and Media students, along with our closest industry partners and friends.

The festival runs from 12-14 June at MediaCityUK, with the doors thrown open to the general public on Saturday 14 June. (http://create.salford.ac.uk)

In 1986 when the alternative rock band The Smiths posed in front of the Salford Lads Club for the inside cover of their album The Queen Is Dead. The Smiths' music video for the songs "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" and "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" also featured shots of the building's exterior.
