Will Mseleku, known professionally as Will Lest, is a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Durban, Newlands. He started his music career in 2010 as Lil West producing and rapping. He later then stopped producing and rapping to reinvent his style and changed his name to Will Lest and started his own group with other artists, known as De Khanin. Will Lest rose to fame by releasing a single, Fade Away V1 in 2017. In 2018, he released the EP, 30/30 then weeks later releases Insomnia. Will Lest announced that he had signed a deal with Sony Music Recordings, and that an album is set to release sometime in 2018. His debut single on Sony Music, "Welcome To Paradise " was released in October 2018

Will Lest was born in Durban, then moved to Pretoria. His mother is a salon owner and a hair dresser and his father is the principal of a primary school. Will's father listens to Michael Jackson and growing up Will was heavily influenced by Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. He hopes to influence his younger siblings. He had stated that he will show the way to success to his younger brother Brandon Blvd but will not give a free ticket. Besides siblings and music, Will played football in the streets and rode his bike. During high school, he kept his mind on achieving similar if not better productions than Mike Dean. Will played football during high school, realizing he had a lot of speed he became a midfielder.

When Will was 15, he was introduced to recording music by a friend named Sizwe. He showed him basic recording skills and techniques he could use. Early 17s Sizwe and Will ended their friendship due to personal conflicts. Will then bought a computer and mic and made a song called, " We here now ", which was his first solo produced and engineered song. His parents didn't know Will made music because he did it privately, but soccer was his main priority at the time. After high school, Will started pursuing a music career and studied it after high school. Will was first known as an artist when he went by the name of Lil West on Myspace. He had about 100 fans and every week he kept releasing new freestyles and started seeing attention and getting messages from record labels. He eventually got signed to Sony Music. When Will was 18, he made a friendship with Nasty C on Twitter. At that time, he was always songwriting and producing, so he was always sending him beats.
