User:Will Rathouse PhD

William Rathouse is a Senior Community Archaeologist with Museum of London Archaeology[1] (MOLA) and works on the award-winning Thames Discovery Programme[2]. He is responsible for delivering a programme of activities and events engaging with Londoners aged over 75 years, funded by City Bridge Trust. He also works to bring in new groups to benefit from the project including people with mental health problems and forces veterans, and provides support to other MOLA Engagement projects.

He is an enthusiastic champion of the use of archaeology and heritage to promote mental health and well-being. Before joining MOLA in 2018, he led archaeology projects for Mind Aberystwyth.

He graduated with a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Wales Lampeter in July 2008 and attained his PhD[3] from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2015.
