Hello friend,
You're welcome here, of course, but this is for my own memory. You may have more fun over at my scrapbook! :)
Contributions to the English Wikipedia
[edit]Articles
[edit]I've made roughly 34000 edits.
Images
[edit]I've contributed over 2600 images to the the English Wikipedia and to the Wikimedia Commons. Many of them are related to geometry, physics, biochemistry, and knitting.
Pages created
[edit]On the English Wikipedia, I've created roughly 4400 articles, which may be found here. I created most of Wikipedia's articles on knitting, protein structure, enzymes, Archaea, and several taxonomic families of bacteria. I also created the initial round of 600 RNA families that were used to link Wikipedia to the Rfam database and the scientific journal RNA Biology, as described here.
I created the Textile Arts WikiProject. I helped to set up several others, including the Molecular and Cellular Biology and Catullus.
Top contributor pages
[edit]In addition to the Featured and Good Articles listed at the top of the page, I have also been a major contributor to other pages, such as:
- Physics and astronomy
- Physiology
- Mathematics
- Humanities
Policy
[edit]I put out a plea to update the MediaWiki software to include ALT text in images. In response, Simetrical very kindly added the alt parameter to images, which has now become standard.
In other respects, however, I haven't been active in policy discussions.
