Sri Lankan Skin color

Sri Lanka is south Asian country.It is located in the tropical zone between 5° and 10° north Therefore,average Sri lankans has tan color skins.But Sri lankans fair than many of other tropical country people.Specially Sinhalese are fair than many of other tropical zone people.Sri Lanka has lot of ethnic groups.

Sinhalese (Arya-sinhalese)

Sinhalese are the main ethnic group in Sri Lanka.Sinhalese make 74.9% of Sri Lankan population.Sinhalese are originated from Indo-aryans.They speak Sinhala language. It is a Indo European language.Sinhala is the national and official language in Sri Lanka.The majority of Sinhalese are following Buddhism.Average Sinhalese skin color is fair than many of Tamils and veddah.Sinhalese has Brown, light brown and tan skins.

Tamils (Dravidians)

Tamils are significant minority in Sri Lanka.Tamils make 15.2% of Sri Lankan population.Tamils are originated from Dravidians.They speak Tamil language. It is a dravidian language.It is a second and official language in Sri Lanka.The majority of Tamils are following Hinduism.Average Tamils Skin color is darker than Sinhalese and Moors but fair than vaddah.Tamils has Brown and Dark brown skins.

Moors (Muslims)

Moors are minority ethnic group in Sri Lanka.Moors make 9.1% of Sri Lankan population.They are originated from Arabians.They speak both Sinhala language and Tamil language.The majority of Moors are following Islam.Averge Moors are fair than Tamils and vaddah.Moors has Brown, light brown and tan skins.

Vedda are aborgines in Sri Lanka.Their origin is problematic.The most widely accepted view is that the Vedda is also originated from Indo-Aryans.Their skin color is darker than many other ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.Vedda has dark brown skins.

Burgers are Eurasians.They are a mixture of Sinhalese and Europeans like Britishers.Most of them are speaking English.Some speak Sinhala language.They are fair than other all ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.They are averagely white.

Kaffir (Asian-African people)

Kaffir are Asian-Africans.They were brought from Africa as slaves.Their are skin color is darker than other all ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.Their skin color is Black.
