RfA Reform
[edit]I attempted to fix RfA in 2011. After reading through over 300 RfAs and doing a lot of other research into the different areas, I came to the conclusion that it was not broken. It's letting good candidates in and keeping bad candidates out. What needs work is its perception, so if there's a good PR firm out there who want to improve how RfA looks to the casual editor for free, please do contact me. Other things I managed to do on the subject of RfAs.
- Start Request an RfA Nomination. I've since vetted many candidates, and have nominated 14 (9 successfully).
- Swarm - (105/1/0) - Successful
- Slon02 - (84/13/4) - Successful
- Ryan Vesey - (117/48/11) - Unsuccessful
- Yunshui - (97/0/0) - Successful
- Mr. Stradivarius - (125/0/0) - Successful
- Σ - (140/65/18) - Unsuccessful
- QuiteUnusual - (85/37/6) - Unsuccessful
- KTC - (130/21/0) - Successful
- Shirt58 - (105/7/4) - Successful
- Liz - (200/72/9) - Successful
- Thine Antique Pen - (118/58/11) - Unsuccessful
- 78.26 - (154/1/0) - Successful
- Ammarpad - (64/40/9) - Unsuccessful
- Nosebagbear - (173/38/8) - Successful
- SilkTork (for bureaucrat) - (168/8/2)
- Updated the group notice for creation of RfA pages, to reduce WP:NOTNOW and WP:SNOW candidates.
- Working at the other end of the process - launching a proof of concept for community desysopping. Co-launching a proposal for change.
