Option 1

"Landfills in the US" Landfills in the United States

It's an established article, but could be beefier in some sections. Talking about pollution surrounding landfills and the fact that they are placed more in BIPOC communities than an others would be a good point to mention. I specifically wanted to look at landfills in upstate New York, but the article is about the entire US. Regional examples are areas that have large concentrations of landfills and sites that have had to be cleaned up could be a whole other section of the article. Maybe too much of a stretch for conservation or biodiversity. Could tie it to after the landfills close using them to house native biodiversity like the possibility of using the Albany landfill for expansion of the Albany Pine Bush ecosystem.

"Climate Change in Rhode Island" Climate change in Rhode Island

The article doesn't really mention invasive species that much and two of the sections only have one citation. Can talk about range extensions and plants moving from the south into New England. Block Island can be a whole different thing because it's an island.

Onondaga Lake

It's a fairly good article, but there should be more mention of road salts and pollution as a systemic thing in the Northeast. We use so much road salts in the winter and it's all going into lakes and streams.
