His statement dated September 2010, Dublin,
Comrades, "The last few years have been difficult for me,I can except that I may have brought some hard times upon myself, but I did not pull a spot light down upon my head. I stand here today with a false conviction of been a member of an illegal organization, I wasn't brought before any court, but been accused of it is just the same.I made a number of foolish mistakes in my youth which have today still carried hardship.I didn't murder anyone,I didn't corrupt the justice system,I didn't rob a bank. As i previously said I made foolish, mistakes, I was convicted of drink driving and thankfully I never hurt anyone, I was also convicted of public order offences and when I lost my company in 2006 I was brought before the court for financial matters, I was also convicted for criminal damage when I fell through a door of a restaurant which also carried a conviction for trespassing, I was caught speeding also with other minor road traffic offences, does this make me a hardened criminal. Unfortunately in some cases it does, I was also convicted of two other offences in which I should not have been convicted of at all if i had proper representation, I leaned of his recently through a consultation with a barrister. The justice system in Ireland is flawed and needs a real change, their are members of the Gardai who have committed more serious crimes and have escaped accountability for doing so by a broken backward system that protects the interests of the state fores only, including Government".
